Founded in 1958, CIPS has been in the forefront of Canadian IT industry
by establishing standards and sharing best practices for the
benefit of IT professionals and the industry.
CIPS is the only official Canadian general assembly member to
the UN-founded International Federation (IFIP) as the voice of
the computing professional and industry.
As Canada’s Association of Information
Technology Professionals, we represent thousands
of members across the country. A
couple of CIPS national programs include:
Certification of IT professionals (Information Systems
Professional (I.S.P.) and Information Technology Certified
Professional (ITCP) designations); and
Accreditation of computer science, software engineering,
and MIS programs in Canadian colleges and universities.
